Leadership habits managers use on Monday

Practical workshops on workload, wellbeing conversations and leading through change.

Two hands in focus mitts held at different heights, arranged like the arrows on a strategy diagram.

Most managers were promoted for doing the work, not for leading it. Our workshops give them a few habits to use the same week: a better check-in, a clearer no, a steadier way through change. Good leaders hold the pads so others can grow.

Managers are running out first

Gallup’s 2026 State of the Global Workplace report found manager engagement fell from 27% to 22% in 2025, and Gallup links much of the wider fall in engagement to that decline. Managers are asked to deliver results, absorb change and look after wellbeing. Few are trained for the last two.

What managers will do differently

  • Better weekly check-ins

A 15-minute workload conversation that surfaces strain early and ends with one agreed change.

  • Clearer priorities

Teams know what matters this month and what can wait, because their manager said so.

  • Change explained plainly

Leaders introduce new tools and structures with time for questions, practice and honest concerns.

  • A peer network

Managers leave with a small group of peers to call when a conversation gets hard.

What every workshop includes

  • Short pre-work

A 10-minute questionnaire so the facilitator knows the real situations in the room.

  • Credentialed facilitators

Leadership facilitators who hold an ICF credential (ACC, PCC or MCC).

  • Practice, not slides

At least half of every session is practice in pairs and trios, using real cases.

  • Conversation guides

One-page scripts for check-ins, workload resets and hard news, ready for Monday.

  • EAP referral basics

How to spot when someone needs more than a manager, and how to point them to your EAP.

  • A four-week follow-up

A 45-minute online session a month later to share what worked and fix what did not.

Example: a credit union adopting AI tools

A 250-person credit union is introducing AI tools in its member contact center and lending team, and branch managers are fielding worried questions they cannot answer. A Leading Through AI Change workshop brings 28 managers together for a half day on workload, skills and honest communication. Sixteen of them then join The Corner to practice weekly check-ins through the rollout.

Leadership workshop questions, answered

What topics do your leadership workshops cover?

Most managers ask for workload conversations, feedback, psychological safety, leading through change and knowing when to refer someone to the EAP. Each half-day workshop covers one topic in depth with practice in pairs, rather than six topics in a rush. We shape the cases around your teams and your busy season.

How much does a leadership workshop cost?

A half-day leadership workshop for up to 30 people starts at $3,600, and Leading Through AI Change starts at $4,200. The Corner, our six-session manager program for a cohort of up to 16, starts at $14,000. Prices are indicative, fixed-fee and itemized, with travel outside Greater Louisville billed at cost.

Who facilitates the workshops?

Leadership facilitators who hold an ICF credential at ACC, PCC or MCC level, are background-checked and are trained in our Corner Method. For sessions on recovery or money stress, a certified health and wellness coach or an Accredited Financial Counselor may co-facilitate. You meet your facilitator on a planning call first.

Should new and senior managers attend together?

Usually not. First-time managers get practical scripts and plenty of practice, while senior leaders work on pace, delegation and the signals they send. Mixing levels can work well for a change workshop, where hearing each layer’s concerns is the point. We will recommend a split on the planning call.

Can leadership workshops run online?

Yes. Online workshops run as two 90-minute sessions instead of one long half day, because a full morning on video is hard to sustain. We use breakout rooms for practice and send the guides as fillable files. Hybrid groups work best with a facilitator in the room and one online.

How is The Corner different from a workshop?

A workshop teaches one topic in one sitting. The Corner is a six-session program for a cohort of up to 16 managers who practice between sessions, bring real situations back to the group and coach each other. It suits companies that want manager habits to change, not only manager knowledge.
