New tools, same people at the wheel

Introduce AI tools at a pace your team can sustain.

Length
Half-day workshop, with a 30-day follow-up
Price, indicative
From $4,200

Headspace’s 2026 Workforce State of Mind report found 70% of employees said their organization introduced new AI tools in the past year. The tools arrive fast; the extra workload, worry and relearning land on teams. This workshop helps leaders set the pace on purpose.

What the half day covers

  1. Two weeks before

    Team pulse

An anonymous five-minute pulse on how teams feel about AI: workload, worry, skills and trust.

  2. Part 1

    The pace of change

What the pulse shows, and how to sequence tools so teams are not learning everything at once.

  3. Part 2

    Workload creep

Spotting when AI adds checking, rework and faster expectations, and resetting targets before people run dry.

  4. Part 3

    Honest job conversations

Practicing direct answers to “Will this replace me?” without false promises or vague reassurance.

  5. Part 4

    Safe team experiments

Designing a four-week team experiment with clear limits, a learning goal and permission to stop.

  6. 30 days after

    Follow-up session

A 60-minute online session to share what the experiments showed and agree the next step.

What you receive

Who it is for
Up to 30 managers and leaders introducing AI tools
Format
In person or live online, three and a half hours
  • An anonymous pre-workshop pulse, reported in aggregate
  • A three-and-a-half-hour workshop for up to 30 leaders
  • A conversation guide for questions about jobs and AI
  • A four-week team experiment template
  • A 60-minute follow-up session 30 days later

Is this the right program?

Right for you if

  • You are rolling out AI tools this year and want people to keep up
  • Managers are hearing worry about jobs and do not know what to say
  • Early adopters are racing ahead while others quietly fall behind

Look elsewhere if

  • You need technical training on a specific AI product; your vendor is better placed
  • You are announcing job cuts; that calls for HR and legal counsel first

Example: a law firm piloting AI drafting

A 120-person law firm is piloting an AI drafting tool with associates and paralegals. The pulse shows paralegals worried about their roles while partners expect faster turnaround with no change to billing targets. Twenty-two practice leaders attend the workshop. Each practice group designs a four-week experiment on one document type, with review time protected. The follow-up compares time spent and confidence.

Leading Through AI Change questions, answered

Is this an AI training course?

No. We do not teach people how to use a particular tool. The workshop is about leading people while tools change: setting the pace, protecting workload, answering job worries honestly and designing experiments. It pairs well with whatever technical training your vendor or IT team provides.

Why does the pace of change matter so much?

Because too much change at once wears people out, even when each tool is useful. A 2026 Henley Business School survey of about 2,900 UK workers found 61% felt unable to keep up with the pace of change at work. Sequencing tools and pausing low-value changes gives teams room to learn.

How do managers answer “Will AI take my job?”

Honestly, and only with what they know. The workshop gives managers words for what is decided, what is not, and when people will hear more, and it warns against promises nobody can keep. Managers rehearse in pairs, so the first time they say it out loud is not in front of their team.

What is a team experiment?

A four-week trial of one AI use on one task, with a clear goal, limits on what data goes in, protected time to learn and permission to stop. At the end the team reviews what it saved, what it added and how people felt, then decides to keep, change or drop it.

Can the workshop be run for the whole company?

The workshop is built for leaders, because they set the pace. For wider teams we run a 60-minute session on working with new tools without overload, on site or online. It usually follows the leaders’ workshop, so managers and their teams hear the same message.
